Saturday Art Workshops

OBSERVE AND CREATE AT THE KREEGER MUSEUM (AGES 8-12)



Our Saturday art workshops are a fun and educational way for children to explore art and art-making in a unique museum environment.

Registration fee per child: $20, Children of members: $15. Payment is due at time of registration. Refunds will be issued up to two weeks before the workshop. Please register below. Tickets may also be purchased by calling 202-338-3552 or emailing visitorservices@kreegermuseum.org.

After studying the Kreeger's collection of portraits by Chagall, Picasso, Miró and others with teaching artist Susan Hostetler, students will examine the elements of portraiture and create their own portraits by compiling digital images, line drawings and watercolors. Students are encouraged to bring photographs of themselves, family and/or friends.
