MEMBERS’ SUMMER RECEPTION
Thursday, July 10, 6 - 8 pm

Enjoy the Kreeger Museum in full bloom for a summer reception on the Sculpture Terrace. Members are invited to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a wine tasting, followed by an opportunity to stroll through the Museum at their leisure and take a last look at Philip Johnson: Architecture as Art.

MEMBERS' ITALIAN HOLIDAY
April 27 - May 4, 2008

Explore hidden antiquities and ancient art treasures in Rome’s neighboring Sabine Hills. Known for olive oil and medieval hill towns, the Sabina is also renowned for its spellbinding landscapes. THE BAUHAUS LEGACY: STUTTGART, WEIMAR, DESSAU & BERLIN
September 12 - 22, 2008

In collaboration with the National Building Museum, this unique travel opportunity will follow the legacy of the Bauhaus through Stuttgart, Weimar, Dessau and Berlin. Participants will visit the original Bauhaus School designed by Walter Gropius, and other buildings built by famous architects associated with the Bauhaus. Along the way, travelers will have the opportunity to view modernist works of art, which will unite the senses in a celebration of art and architecture. MEMBERS’ WINTER RECEPTION
Thursday, January 24, 6 - 8 pm

Join Dr. Erich Keel, Head of Education of The Kreeger Museum, and Martin Moeller, Senior Vice President and Curator of the National Building Museum, with special guest Ms. Ricard Redeker, the Cultural Attaché of the German Embassy, for wine and refreshments, a talk on the Bauhaus and more information on our upcoming Members’ trip in September 2008 that traces the legacy of the Bauhaus through four German cities. We are also delighted to welcome prospective members for an opportunity to view the Museum and meet other dedicated Friends of The Kreeger.

Join other members at this exclusive preview of Philip Johnson: Architecture as Art. Participate in a discussion with exhibition curator Hilary Lewis as she personally takes you through the galleries and discusses Johnson’s creative process.

10 am - 5 pm

The last Wednesday of each month is Member's Day, an opportunity for members to visit the museum without reservations or a docent guided tour. The museum is free for all members and open from 10 am until 5 pm. Members are encouraged to invite a guest and spend the day exploring the galleries, reading on the Sculpture Terrace or browsing through the many books in the Museum's Library.
