No Dead Ends is an absurdist romp through an abundant landscape, a celebration of lusciousness in nature and form. It is playful, curious, and rooted in unison, athleticism, and joy. No Dead Ends is inspired by its site and partner, The Kreeger Museum, its architecture, and Carmen Kreeger, a visionary woman and lover of life’s artistic and sporting delights.

The performance will begin in the Sculpture Garden and ticket-holders can check in at the Garden Gate. Viewers will follow the artists through The Kreeger Museum's outdoor spaces for a duration of one hour. Please note: this event will take place light rain or shine.

Please join us for a glass of wine and conversation after the performance on the Sculpture Terrace from 3:30pm-4:00pm.

About darlingdance

darlingdance is a DC-based site-specific modern dance company in its 15th season, led by choreographer, performance artist, and founding artistic director Hayley Cutler, MFA. darlingdance is an umbrella for Hayley’s work that is process-forward, based in authentic relationships and embodied histories, and focused on imposing femme and nonbinary bodies in public spaces. Through collaborative relationships and a commitment to total honesty in development, Hayley’s work is weird, raw, at times pedestrian, and always demanding of its audience. The Washington Post once called them “tonally bizarre,” to which they tonally agree.

darlingdance’s work has been commissioned by The Kennedy Center, Dance Place, The National Gallery of Art, Washington Project for the Arts, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center and many galleries and non-traditional spaces throughout the region and in Chicago, Boston, New York, and London.

Regular performers of darlingdance’s work include Claire Alrich, Emily Ames, Amber Lucia Chabus, Kourtney Ginn, and Emi Kawashima. darlingdance’s current work is being produced by Nathalie von Veh.
