About the Program
A holiday concert of seasonal classics and yuletide delights featuring the young stars of the Heifetz Institute. Our all-star cast of Heifetz alumni includes prize-winning artists Kenneth Naito (violin), Noelle Naito (violin), Steven Baloue (viola), and Jared Blajian (cello), along with faculty pianist Allison Freeman. This return to the Kreeger Museum will feature season favorites, glittering solo works, chamber music masterworks, and some special Yuletide delights, including works by Smetana, Telemann, Kreisler, Praetorious, Jessie Montgomery, Tchaikovsky, and Dvorak. The Heifetz Holiday Homecoming is invariably among the highlights of the holiday concert calendar, so you won’t want to miss the dazzling virtuosity and poignant passion of these young Heifetz performers, whose music will help to make the holidays glow a bit brighter.
