Paddle Doll Making Workshop

Join artist Cheryl Edwards for an all-levels mixed media Paddle Doll making workshop. Participants will create an original piece of take-home artwork inspired by the Paddle Dolls of ancient Egypt. This workshop is recommended for young artists ages 3-7. Each artist should bring a found object from home (i.e. buttons, thread, flowers, dried beans). Parents and guardians are welcome to attend.

About the Artist

Cheryl D. Edwards, an African American artist was born in 1954 in Miami Beach, Florida. She began her studies in art during 1988 in New York City in a class at the Art Student League taught by Ernest Crichlow. She has been living in Washington, D.C. for the past 27 years.
She has exhibited in many shows in Washington, D.C., New York, Virginia, Maryland, Miami, Texas, Pennsylvania, Rotterdam, Germany, Monaco, and Hong Kong. Her medium is oil, ink, printmaking, mixed media, and acrylics. Please visit www.cheryledwards.org for more information.
